Does my dog need a coat?
Many dogs are fine without, but short-coated, thin, small, young and older dogs feel the cold and the wet. A coat keeps them warm and dry on winter walks, and a raincoat saves on towelling afterwards.
- Dog coats: padded and down-style coats for winter, many with reflective trim.
- Raincoats: lightweight and waterproof, for wet walks.
- Jumpers: knitted and fleece jumpers for cold days and chilly houses.
- Boots: protect paws from cold, salt, hot pavements and rough ground.
- Cooling vests: lightweight vests for hot days.
- Costumes: for Halloween, Christmas and parties.
How to measure your dog for clothes
- Back length: from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.
- Chest: round the widest part, just behind the front legs.
- Neck: round the neck where a collar sits.
Check all three against the size chart on the product page; dog clothing sizes vary a lot between makers. If your dog is between sizes, go up one.
