About Dog Leads

Choosing a dog lead A lead of around 1.2 to 1.8 metres suits most town walks. A second handle near the clip, often called a traffic handle, gives close control at kerbs and gates. Rope leads are strong and comfortable to hold; padded handles help with dogs that pull. For recall training and open spaces, a long training line gives your dog freedom while you stay in control.
